Dark Places

I just finished reading Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. This book keeps you on your toes the entire time. Here’s a quick synopsis:

“Libby Day was just seven years old when her evidence put her fifteen-year-old brother behind bars.

Since then, she has been drifting. But when she is contacted by a group who are convinced of Ben’s innocence, Libby starts to ask questions she never dared to before. Was the voice she heard her brother’s? Ben was a misfit in their small town, but was he capable of murder? Are there secrets to uncover at the family farm or is Libby deluding herself because she wants her brother back?

She begins to realize that everyone in her family had something to hide that day… especially Ben. Now, twenty-four years later, the truth is going to be even harder to find.

Who did massacre the Day family?”

It jumps from different perspectives and different times. The plot moves fairly quickly and with the switching perspective you get a true sense of the whole story. This book is dark and twisted but it’s a great read. I usually like a little romance at some point in the books I read, but this didn’t have it or need it! You should definitely put it on your “to read” list.

January Wrap Up

Jan Books

So here’s a wrap up of the goals from my list that I accomplished (or didn’t) in January.

Read one book a month: I did better on this than I had anticipated. I finished reading Wild, and I read the entire Fifty Shades of Grey series as well as The Longest Ride.

Pinterest project: I completed a dream catcher for my bedroom.

Graphic design class: I am enrolled for my class which starts on February 3rd!

Do one fitness challenge a month: I got about half-way through my January challenge till I just didn’t have the time or energy to continue. But that is not going to stop me from trying this every month. Join me in my new challenge for February!65fed7aadfeca3a5b6f6db5e7cfd23b8
