For my “birthday” Matt and I went down to Chicago for an evening of fine dining. We splurged and went to The Signature Room at the 95th. For those of you who have never heard of this restaurant, its on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building in Chicago. It’s one of the top restaurants in the city as well. We had a gorgeous view to put it simply. The atmosphere and staff were wonderful. Then came the food. It was good don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t anything special. We shared an appetizer of shrimp. I had Grilled Fillet of Beef and Matt had Beef Wellington. He ordered a side of mushrooms and I got a side of potatoes. The only thing Matt said he didn’t like was the mushrooms. It is definitely an experience I’m glad I had. So my advice to anyone looking to do some fine dining in Chicago, I would suggest The Signature Room.
