6 Month “Anniversary”

IMG_0861

IMG_0863For our 6 months, Matt and I finished our first date. Our first date was the Lakefront Brewery Tour and then we were going to go to the zoo. Unfortunately by the time we were done drinking the zoo was closed. So for our six months we went to the Milwaukee Zoo, Bayshore Mall and then walked around Water street. For Lunch IMG_0852we ate at California Pizza Kitchen and it was delicious! The food was the perfect amount and full of flavor! After shopping we headed down to water street and had beer samplers at Rock Bottom Brewery and Water Street Brewery. I preferred the beers from Water Street. For dinner at Water Street I had an Ahi Tuna Sandwich and Matt had the Pot Pie. It was a fun day and a great way to celebrate being together for 6 months.

San Antonio

My mom and I just got back from a short vacation to San Antonio. While we were there we went on a 1 hour segway tour. You can’t really see much on an hour tour but to be honest there wasn’t a ton to see. We saw the Alamo and we bummed around the riverwalk. Those were our main highlights in the down town area.

We were there for my mom’s EWGA Conference. While she golfed on Sunday I took a lesson from the instructors there. I learned a lot and it was a lot of fun. Who knows, maybe i’ll be joining EWGA in the future. While she attended lectures on Monday, I was lucky enough to be able to spend a few hours by the pool soaking up some sun. It was a short trip but it was nice to spend some time away with my mom.

Poker Night

I recently joined a young professionals networking group in Oshkosh called Propel. The first event I attended was a 1920’s themed casino night. It was a blast! It was $35 to get in and that got you $5,000 in fake money to gamble with. There I found my pledge sister Molly and we hit the tables. We played mostly Black Jack. There was also Roulette and Craps (which I still don’t understand). We also gambled by playing thumb wars and pick a coin. We finally found a hot table, which is where we won ALL of our money. I walked away with $50,000 and Molly had $75,000. These got us raffle tickets to bid on items. I won a picture of Coach Anderson and it was autographed by some of the Badger players. I was happy with my prize and I now have some ability to play Black Jack. Next stop Vegas!
